Zag To The Zig #5 :: Sharing is caring
🙏 Thanks again for opening and clicking: you are omni-present. Now, the next-level favour I’m asking is to share. Just think about someone who might like Zag To The Zig. Got someone? Then send them this link (https://zagtothezig.substack.com). Every little bit helps, so double-🙏 if you spend 10 seconds on spreading the love.
And in return, as always, I’ll share with you things like these…
In the tech room
College students who go off Facebook for a week report being less depressed. And then they want to get back on it, badly.
The joy of open source. None other than big accounting/consultancy firm Ernst & Young have developed a privacy ‘plug-in’ for the Ethereum blockchain. Their objective: help businesses create agreements + settle invoices on a *public* blockchain. Worth following, methinks.
Really? Panasonic is making a camera-enabled smoothie machine that judges your skin health, throws in some AI and adapts the recipe to give you just the right dose of nutrition.
The Economy Room
More and more people are willing to pay for not having to own stuff. The rental economy is hotting up.
Maybe we should call the Economy Room, the Kids Room this week. 83% of Generation Z (18 to 24) are interested in crypto-tokens.
If you’re interested in how people in the Web3 and/or Decentralised Finance space think, you should give this your attention. ETH is an economic system. And it includes destroying money. Deep.
The Innovation Room
One of the cooler things I get to do is take part in ThinkSprints. ThinkSprint is an online collaboration platform that fixes business problems by unlocking experts’ potential. And one particularly successful outcome of this innovation technique is around UX optimisation.
The ethics/fairness room
🇹🇼Learning: Emojipedia is a real site. And they figured out that Apple is hiding the emoji for the Taiwanese flag for Hong Kong iOS users.
UNICEF is setting up a crypto fund, to "receive, hold and disburse donations of cryptocurrencies ether and bitcoin”.
Random ZTTZ
Science FTW. Cows painted with zebra-stripes get bitten less by flies.
🏁 End note: 1 thing I’ll be doing this week…
This week I’ll be developing a workshop for the leadership team of an HR Solutions company. Theme: human-centricity.
